HOGWARTS THROUGHOUT THE AGES TAKE A JOURNEY BACK IN TIME; BACK TO THE DARKEST, MOST LETHAL, AND POSSIBLY THE EVEN MOST SIGNIFICANT TIME IN WIZARDING HISTORY: THE FIRST RISE OF THE DARK LORD, IN THE 1980s; THE YEARS OF TERROR... At this time England awakens to the monster it has been breeding; little can be done as the storm that has been building for a long time will take everything at its sweep; women and children, men, Muggles, Squibs, Werewolves, Veelas, Vampires; even those purebloods who refuse to obey and comply to conventional rules. Death Eaters wreak indiscriminate vengeance on orders of Lord Voldemort; the ones who have decided to take a stand next to their Master in an attempt to share his power. Whilst the Dark Lord’s influence is progressively growing, a vast number of witches and wizards are controlled by the Imperius Curse and forced into committing massacres; Muggle after Muggle fall on the street, dead; the death toll is increasing drastically while the Ministry for Magic falls into complete chaos trying to make an organized and rational counter-attack.
Whenever a Dark Mark is shown above a house it announces death by Death Eaters. There is particular estrangement as no one dares approach or acquaint themselves with unfamiliar witches and wizards, uncertain of their true identity. Voldemort has ingeniously promoted the prejudice and distrust between the half-breeds and the wizarding world; unconsciously the victims turn into victimizers; what difference is there between the Death Eaters with no morals and Aurors who are authorized to use radical methods, neither diverging from the strategies of their enemies?
The world watches while England struggles to fight their internal disease, occasionally stepping in with threats of a World Wizarding War if the movements does not fall under control; Minister Charles Lucas fights hard by altering old and enforcing new laws to meet those demands; however hardly any time passes before one country or another sees its constitution violated by yet another extreme move initiated by one of Lord Voldemort’s pawns working abroad.
Social racism is increasing alarmingly; the difference between purebloods and all others is stressed increasingly by worried or proud parents, seemingly insignificant comments in the Daily Prophet or the new Ministry Decrees such as the Blood Registration; Voldemort seeks a new world order cleansed of all present impurities and he raises the emotional temperature by beating the drum of hatred against this quiet ‘enemy’. The purity of blood has become the most important issue of this time and prejudice in that matter has always been established. As a manipulator of power Voldemort works hard to disrupt any previously restored social and economic equilibrium regardless of any efforts of the Ministry of Magic, which has been successfully infiltrated. Innocent victims are rounded up from their homes and charged with imaginary offenses of ‘sabotage’, ‘treason’ or ‘espionage’; tortured into confession by Death Eaters posing as Ministry Workers. The Aurors try their best to stop this pollution, but with the new regulations of defense the line of right and wrong becomes blurred. All have staged show trials of the most prominent victims for the benefit of publicity; feeding Artemis Jones, Daily Prophet, with materials who in returns passes it to the public with a false account of each situation. WHY WE MAKE THE DIFFERENCE This magical site began in the year 1971 when the Marauders first joined Hogwarts up to now: the year is 1976. There is a carefully planned flow of time, and the story progresses throughout the years evenly, without remaining static on a particular point in time. The Marauders are currently in their sixth year; a horde of other students are arriving and returning to what has been called the safest place in the wizarding world – or is it? Are there really Death Eaters among the students? Who is recruiting them? And can you keep track of all the gossip going on in the hallways between classes?[/blockquote]

Why are you voting for this forum?;Because HttA has many active members, I enjoy myself a lot when I RP on this site, it's admins are very polite and understanding, and the site is very well put together. The navigation takes some getting used to, but all of the members are there to help and once you get the hang of it, it's very fun!! The plot, as mentioned before by others, is very raelistic, and there's ALWAYS something to do on this site. We had a Yule Ball, right now Voldemort is about to take over, and there are Quidditch matches, dances, events, and threads that happened in the book. All in all, it's a very fun site and when you RP, it's like you're actually part of the wizarding world. Are you a member?;Yes >3>
If you are a member What are your character name/s?;Arabella Notte, Eclair Lockehart, and D'mitri Jumeau(TWIN!) How long have you been a member?;Since June

Why are you voting for this forum?; Because I really like it. I am an admin, so let me share a little information. HttA changed a lot over the past 19 months, we added, we deducted, remodeled and overhauled a lot of time. There was a point we had 30 member groups and then only four again, at another point we had problems keeping the forum alive because nobody wanted to post or came online anymore. But through all that we have finally come to a steady point, a constant for HttA. We finally figured out the boards with help from proboards rating threads, we figured out member groups from experience, with other friends who had their own sites we collaborated and came up with the perfect codes for all occasions. With time the understanding of running a site without going overboard on rules or ideas came to us which, in comparison with other sites, is hard to find. Experience is not something that comes with all proboard forums.
We agreed that there had to be a steady time flow to keep things running and interesting, and we agreed that if this board should be appealing to others it had to be interesting with a lot to do. We added music and pictures, we even had a film for HttA, but in the end it our wonderful members were those to make the site. A site is nothing without good members who have fantasy, creativity and fun posting with one another. The members are kind to new people which is a cycle, and they engage when us admins want to incorporate something new. We propose something and they give their pros and cons, we work together which is a big plus.
The plots are a result of everyone, I do not think we could play the way we do if nobody were engaged. Sure, the admins keep everything together, but that is what an admin should do instead of telling others what to do. We compliment the site, but the members really make it. I am voting for this forum because of the work that has gone into it, which is visible, and the love, and the help from everyone who is, and ever was a member of Hogwarts throughout the Ages
Are you a member?; yes
If you are a member What are your character name/s?; Alice Mahone, Jocelyn Lucas, Antoinette Arnault, Ava Lee, and more How long have you been a member?; technically for over two years since this website started on another URL but was abandoned by the old admins, however we took the entire site and moved it to what is now knows as HttA which has been up and running for one year, seven months and four days (right now - it changes, check the info centre)

Why are you voting for this forum?; Hogwarts throughout the Ages is a active role play site that moves along in time, so that plot lines can grow and be enjoyed by all. I am also an admin and with the help of our members are pleased to see the site grow over the time it has been going, many changes have happened and even though there has been alot of learning and still more to come I think we are doing well. With the members being active, the site has been able to gather many interesting plots that flow alongside those that are given to us by JK Rowlings. Yule Balls, International Feastivals, attacks on the Ministry & even a lot of killings that it’s known the Death eaters fulfilled under the orders of Lord Voldemort. Are you a member?; Yes
If you are a member What are your character name/s?; Belinda Watson, Carlina Nava, Dianne Lowe, Narcissa Black and more How long have you been a member?; 1 year, 7 months and 13 days and growing

Why are you voting for this forum?; Been on Htta for awhile now and during my stay its clear that the site is active. Admins take a active hand on keeping the site throbbing and flowing, members post daily, and plots are moved along well. There is always something going on from a Quidditch match to a DE attack to a ball or festival. It is easy to find someone to have a character interact with and members are always willing to plot something out. A great atmosphere, loads of fun, and always up to something makes for a great site. Are you a member?; Yes
If you are a member What are your character name/s?; Aeron Clemente How long have you been a member?; 11 months
